Definition of electrification programme

The objective of this step was to define the technical, organizational and financial schemes for the sustainable electrification of the priority villages of Kampong Thom, using all data collected during previous studies. The Fondation led this task using its NORIA tool, while being regularly in touch with European and local partners.

A final seminar was organized on the 26th of November 2009 in Phnom Penh. The total number of participants was 94, gathering a panel of local actors, from national or local institutions and authorities, NGOs, private entrepreneurs and financing agencies. The RESIREA project and its proposed programme were presented. The objective was to answer all questions of the participants and raise the interest of local actors for the future implementation of the “Green electricity” project in Kampong Thom.
