Study of the provincial context

The provincial study was carried out from May to November 2007 and was divided in two parts. The objective was to collect data at the provincial scale to elaborate a provincial database and map out the results.

First, local consultants have carried out the cartographic work of the province. Then study of the provincial context made it possible to describe the demographic, environmental and socio-economical context of the targeted province. The results of the study have been integrated and mapped in a GIS (Geographic Information System).
